TORONTO, July 26, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ --
NetComm Wireless today announced the launch of its new Smart Hub 4G with TELUS, a leading national telecommunications company in Canada. The new Smart Hub 4G enhances the data and voice benefits of the original Smart Hub with superior 4G speeds, reach and capacity. The Smart Hub 4G will operate on the TELUS 4G LTE network to provide consumer and business users with landline equivalent Internet, phone and WiFi connectivity without the need for a fixed broadband (ADSL2+/cable/fibre) connection.
Developed by NetComm Wireless, a leading global developer of innovative broadband technology, the NetComm Smart Hub 4G provides instant access to a high-speed 4G Internet connection that can be shared across multiple wireless devices such as laptops, tablet computers and smart phones with WiFi speeds of up to 300Mbps, while also offering an easily portable online phone service using standard analogue phones.
Temporary office setups, mobile businesses and renters without a fixed connection are among those set to benefit from the ability to create a superfast 4G Internet connection wherever an electrical power outlet and coverage exist. The new Smart Hub 4G also offers an alternate fixed line connection via Ethernet WAN; and supports business continuity with automatic failover to 4G in the case of fixed line failure.
"Businesses can now run their mobile workforce, trade shows, events and temporary business setups from virtually anywhere with all the benefits of a landline," said Jim Senko, vice-president of Small and Medium Business Marketing at TELUS. "The Smart Hub 4G also allows our high speed Internet clients a backup solution with the LTE speeds and performance to ensure their business operations never go down."
"TELUS is making wireless lives easier by pairing cutting edge wireless broadband technology with advanced TELUS 4G network capabilities. With NetComm Wireless as a partner, TELUS is transforming the online experience for personal and business users needing complete freedom from fixed line restrictions," said Brett Stevens, CTO NetComm Wireless.
