NetCentrics Recognized as "Top Workplace" by The Washington Post
Virginia-Based Government Technology Provider Rated as 2018 Top Employer in the Greater D.C. Area
HERNDON, Va., June 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- NetCentrics Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure, cloud, mission applications, and cybersecurity for the U.S. government, today announced that the company was named one of The Washington Post's 2018 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. The Top Workplaces list recognizes local companies that received the highest ratings from its employees in 2018.
"NetCentrics strives to create a positive, rewarding environment for our employees and this award from The Washington Post emphasizes the collaborative, dynamic culture we've built as an organization. The fact that this award is determined by employee feedback is a testament to how results-driven the talented staff at NetCentrics is," said Cynthia Barreda, CEO of NetCentrics. "As we continue to grow, we look forward to bringing together employees from all walks of life to contribute to the shared goal of delivering IT solutions to government agencies."
This year's list is based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year's 150 honorees include government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools, and businesses.
"Overwhelmingly, employees of the companies honored on The Post's Top Workplaces list not only value their workplace's culture, but they also feel confident in the direction that their companies are going," said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. "The standouts on this list excel because they focus on engaging their greatest asset: their people."
This recognition comes on the heels of several other recent awards for NetCentrics, including the Comparably 2018 Culture Awards for leadership, opportunities for women, diversity, and professional development. Company CEO, Cynthia Barreda, was also recognized as one of DCA Live's 2018 Federal Entrepreneurs, a list highlighting the top executives from the Washington D.C. region's fastest growing federal technology and services ventures.
"Since our founding, we've made it a priority to take care of our employees so they can take care of our customers. We're dedicated to having a company culture that focuses on our people as individuals, not just a number. We care about them, their families, and their personal and professional growth. We hire smart people that share our core values, give them the tools to take care of our customers, then align next to them to work hard and have fun," said Susan Brady, Vice President, Human Resources at NetCentrics. "We're proud to say we're very successful at cultivating a workplace that allows people to make a difference, take ownership of their career, and grow themselves and the company – while enjoying the place they work and the people they work with."
