Ness Technologies Wins $4 Million Outsourcing Contract with Israel's Clalit Health Services
TEL AVIV, Israel, June 21, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSTC and TASE: NSTC), a global provider of information technology solutions and services, announced today that it has been awarded a four-year outsourcing contract to provide around-the-clock help desk services to Clalit Health Services, Israel's largest Healthcare Management Organization (HMO) and one of the largest HMOs worldwide. The contract is valued at 16 million Israeli shekels, or approximately $4 million. It includes an option to extend the contract for an additional period of up to four years.
Ness will provide the services through an IT Client Service Center, which will be located at Ness and which will operate in a performance output measurement model according to a service level agreement (SLA) standard. The center will serve thousands of Clalit employees and will serve as the single point of contact to Clalit's IT division for Clalit's headquarters units, 14 hospitals and 8 districts, as well as private pharmacies working with Clalit. The center will provide a variety of support solutions, including expert support of unique healthcare applications, as well as support for hardware failures. The center in its new model will be operated by Ness Technologies' Unified Reference and Delivery (URD) Center, Israel's largest help desk center serving outsourcing customers.
"Ness Technologies has provided us with support services since 2002 and has proved to be a most reliable and trustworthy partner" said Yehiel Gepner, Chief Information Officer of Clalit Health Services. "Their win of the new tender, and the transition to the new model will help us to function at an even higher level of effectiveness, enabling us to serve our customers in the best manner."
"Ness' URD center has gained a reputation for delivering the highest quality support services to IT users in various organizations and corporations, handling one million calls a year from more than 100,000 end-users," said Effi Kotek, President of Ness Israel. "The center was recently certified to ISO/IEC 20000 - the first worldwide standard specifically aimed at IT service management - and operates according to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library version 3 methodology, known as ITIL V3, to ensure optimized implementation of the services."
