NEP Broadcasting Builds New Production Facilities for Conan on TBS

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- NEP Broadcasting announced today their completion, in record time, of brand new production facilities for TBS' Conan, scheduled to debut Monday from the show's new home at Stage 15 on the Warner Brothers lot. NEP, the world's leading broadcast facilities and engineering company, was able to design, fabricate and install in only 120 days. Working with TBS and the Conan production team, NEP was able to provide the quick turn-around and engineering expertise the project required.

NEP began custom-building twenty racks of equipment, all of the consoles, and a virtual monitor wall for production in mid August. The equipment was shipped to Los Angeles, and within four days, everything was installed, the wiring was complete and the entire system was ready for testing.  By October 18th, rehearsals had begun and the show was under way.

In addition to providing the production facilities for Conan, NEP offers 29 HD and 3D mobile production trucks in the United States as well as several studios in New York.  Earlier this year, they upgraded The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report from SD to HD seamlessly, allowing both shows to stay in their existing studios without missing a day on air.
