Neova® Launches DNA + Copper Combination Therapy Products in National and International Markets
Breakthrough Technology Revolutionizes the Repair of Photodamage
MONTGOMERYVILLE, Pa., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- PhotoMedex, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHMD) a leading supplier of advanced, clinical skincare and medical laser products for nearly a decade, today announced the introduction of its DNA + Copper[Cu] product line, formulated and marketed by the company's Neova® brand.
Neova DNA + Cu Combination Therapy products use cutting edge technologies to address DNA damage by activating the skin's natural recovery process after damage has occurred but before the inevitable consequences appear. The activation of the skin's DNA repair process is delivered through liposome-encapsulated DNA repair enzymes to the epidermis, the site of DNA damage. Copper Peptide Complex, a protective delivery system that allows the body to recognize and accept copper into the cells, restores the skin's ability to repair itself.
"A precise delivery system is essential for the successful application of peptides and enzymes to reach living tissue within the skin. Neova DNA + Cu formulas use two delivery systems – the Liposome system, which has been specifically engineered for the transference of DNA repair enzymes into epidermal cells and Copper Peptide Complex, a protective delivery system that restores the skin's ability to repair itself," says Len Patt, PhD, Research & Development for NEOVA. "These unique, award-winning Combination Therapy skin care formulas target photodamaged skin and help to visibly repair it."
The DNA + Cu Therapy products help skin continuously repair the appearance in three advanced ways:
Continuous Repair heightens skin's natural repair process. Over time, a dramatic reduction in the visible signs of aging, including fine lines and wrinkles and discolorations is realized – as much as a 50% reduction in depth and number of fine lines and wrinkles after 8 weeks of use.
Enhanced UV-Induced Repair helps skin continuously repair the appearance of past damage caused by UV-induced assaults before they become permanent. Clinical studies of DNA repair enzymes on UV-exposed skin have shown a 45% reduction in UV-induced DNA damage after a single exposure to photoactivating light.
Prevention with Copper Peptide Complex has been shown to stimulate collagen production and reduce the visible signs of aging, improve skin laxity, clarity, increase skin density and strengthen the skin barrier.
Six targeted Neova DNA + Cu Combination Therapy treatment products address photodamage:
- Day Therapy SPF 30 (SRP $85.00)
- Night Therapy (SRP $85.00)
- Creme de la Copper (SRP $110.00)
- Refining Eye Lift (SRP $56.00)
- Eye Therapy (SRP $54.00)
- Maximum Body Repair (SRP $43.50)
"Skin is assaulted by UV-induced stresses daily causing damage to skin cells and their DNA. The consequences of unrepaired DNA damage for skin cells are immense. Decades of damage-and-response cycles, develop discolorations, wrinkles and other signs of photodamage," said Dr. Patt. "DNA repair enzymes, like those found in the new Neova products, target damage then up-regulate the skin's natural repair mechanisms at the same time that Neova's Copper Peptide Complex restores the skin's ability to self-correct and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin – it's like having two hyper-charged correctors in one."
Neova DNA + Cu Combination Therapy products are available through dispensing physicians and on www.Neova.com.
