NeoNova names Jason McGinnis as company president

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NeoNova and its parent company, the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), today announced that NeoNova's Chief Operating Officer Jason McGinnis has been promoted to president of the company.

McGinnis assumes leadership of the company from Ray Carey, who served as CEO since 2010. Prior to becoming CEO, Carey led the venture investment into NeoNova while at Azure Capital in 2008 and served on NeoNova's Board of Directors.

Under Carey, NeoNova has seen tremendous growth and success. The company currently works with more than 200 broadband providers in 43 different states, serving more than 1 million subscribers in mostly rural areas of the country. Carey was instrumental in relocating the company's headquarters from Morrisville, N.C., to Raleigh in 2013 as well as driving the acquisition by NRTC later that year. During his tenure, NeoNova was listed as a Top 100 Company by Talkin' Cloud and brokered strategic partnerships with some of the industry's top firms, including Microsoft and Google, to bring leading-edge networking technologies and cloud services to NeoNova customers.

Jason McGinnis has been with NeoNova since 2008 and is a key contributor to the ongoing strength and growth of the company. Prior to working at NeoNova, McGinnis worked for Perimeter eSecurity as Vice President of Security Operations preceded by operations roles at IBM, American Express, and Wal-Mart.
