AUSTIN, Texas, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Neone today unveiled the first encrypted Private Network Device, the Neobase, that lets you create a private social network that only you control.
The unique cloudless design of your network means that all of the posts, web links, photos and files you share are only on your device. Nothing gets stored or passes through any website, service, cloud or organization – including Neone. Sharing with friends and family is easy, and you decide exactly what you share and who you share it with. With privacy violations, security breaches and lack of trust in web services at an all-time high, long-time Internet advocate and Neone founder Dave Glassco conceived the Neobase so that he didn't have to use the cloud when sharing his work, his interests or photos of his family.
According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, 91 percent of adults in the survey "agree" or "strongly agree" that consumers have lost control over how personal information is collected and used by companies. Even the US National Intelligence Council, which reports directly to the Director of National Intelligence, made clear that encryption was the "best defense" for computer users to protect private data. To use the Neobase, simply connect it to your home network and start the plug-and-play setup. Next, add family and friends as additional users, and optionally, connect with other Neobase users in the Neone Network. As you create a post for your network, you choose specific friends in your network that will see it and include any links, photos and files. Upon sharing, your Neobase connects directly to the other Neobases you are sharing with, sharing only the specific content you have chosen. Because of this direct connection, what you've shared never passes through any other devices, servers, web sites or services.

It offers one Terabyte of storage, USB expansion and connects to Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
The Neobase is in final testing in homes. The Kickstarter campaign will enable Neone to ramp up Neobase manufacturing in the United States. Backers will be the first to receive a Neobase, with expected delivery by Summer 2015.
