Nebraska Families Collaborative Purchases New Technology to Assist with Care
"A major part of child welfare reform requires providers and child welfare workers to manage to outcomes," said Dave Newell, NFC President and CEO. "FAMCare will bring a cutting edge management information system to Nebraska."
ATLANTA, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nebraska Families Collaborative (NFC) announces the purchase of a new system to assist with managing the care of kids in Nebraska's Eastern service region. Created by Global Vision Technologies Inc., (GVT), FAMCare is a software system for human services data management - that brings together all the data collection, information management and reporting tools needed to deliver the best care to Nebraska kids.
"A major part of child welfare reform requires providers and child welfare workers to manage to outcomes," said Dave Newell, NFC President and CEO. "FAMCare will bring a cutting edge management information system to Nebraska."
While the relationships NFC caseworkers have with the families they care for are the most important tools, often the technology can help them more effectively communicate the needs of the family. FAMCare could interface with the current system used by Nebraska Health and Human Services and make that system more user-friendly.
"We look forward to working with NFC on our high tech client management tool. When information is clean and accessible, the right decisions can be made at the right time for the care of kids," said George Ritacco, Executive Director Client Services for GVT. The new system will be in place by December. NFC employees will be trained on the new technology and its applications.
