Digital Agency Recognized for Exceptional Public Relations Efforts at PR News' Platinum PR and Agency Elite Awards Ceremony
ATLANTA, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nebo, a human-centered digital agency based in Atlanta, brought home three wins from PR News' 2015 Platinum PR and Agency Elite awards event last week. The well-respected international organization held the event to celebrate the #PowerofPR and acknowledge the past year's top campaigns and communications professionals.
Nebo was nominated in seven categories and ultimately won the following titles:
Nebo was also awarded honorable mentions for Choose ATL for pro-bono campaign, Build the BeltLine for nonprofit/association campaign, Build the BeltLine for community relations, and Nebo's Senior Director of Public Relations & Social Media Marketing Jenna Thomas for 'Agency Awe Professional.'
"Working on the BeltLine and Choose ATL initiatives has been so exciting because these campaigns represent the love and appreciation we have for Atlanta," said Thomas. "PR News runs highly competitive awards programs for the top communicators across the world, so the fact that we're earning recognition for work that supports our local community is incredible. We're thrilled to bring home three wins from the event."
Build the BeltLine is a pro bono initiative Nebo facilitated to raise funding for the timely completion of the Atlanta BeltLine, a sustainable urban growth project that will ultimately encircle Atlanta with 33 miles of multi-use trails, transportation networks and public parks. Nebo worked with a local blacksmith to sell individually cut pieces of the rail line that once existed along the path. Through a strategic public relations and media outreach program, Nebo surpassed its goal of collecting $35,000 within two weeks of the campaign's launch.
Choose ATL is a community-driven initiative spearheaded by Nebo to brand the city of Atlanta as the ideal place to live, work and raise a family. Nebo partnered with local entrepreneurs, politicians and influencers to execute a comprehensive public relations program to put Atlanta on the map and raise awareness about the great things the city has to offer. The initial phase of the campaign generated more than 45 million earned media impressions. Now in its second phase, the campaign has been granted in excess of $500,000 by the Metro Atlanta Chamber to continue to move the initiative forward.
Nebo was up against some of the largest and most-celebrated PR firms and brands in the world at this year's event. For cause-related marketing, Nebo ran against 14 other agencies, including MSLGROUP for Celebration of Service, Weber Shandwick for The Greatest American Milk Drive and Flowers Communications Group for Miller Lite. Nebo's entry for Build the BeltLine tied the category with Edelman for their work on the CVS Quits campaign.
The event held on Oct. 26 in New York City honored work in 66 different categories ranging from media relations to public affairs. Hundreds of agencies and individuals entered for recognition.
