Nearly Half of American Idol Viewers Would Watch Show Less if Simon Leaves
- Viewers nominate Piers Morgan, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Quincy Jones as replacements -
FLEMINGTON, N.J., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- A media study among 800 American Idol viewers revealed that nearly half of the viewers (47%) reported that they would watch American Idol less if Simon Cowell leaves.

Among the viewers that indicated that they would watch the show less if Cowell left, 58% indicated that they will not watch the show at all if he left.
A related study among 1,007 Americans revealed that the number one celebrity that respondents thought should replace Simon Cowell if he left "American Idol" was "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan, followed by Sean "Diddy" Combs and Quincy Jones, respectively.
