PRINCETON, N.J., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- English-language learners from across the globe submitted nearly 1,500 projects for the 2016-17 TOEFL® Young Students Series GO English! project, "What is Friendship? In Your Words." For the third consecutive year, the program inspires students to practice and improve their English-language skills in the classroom under the guidance of their English-language teachers.
Working together as a class over the course of a few months, students used their English-language skills to create a video, radio, poster or newspaper announcement. This year, nearly 10,000 students from 31 countries used English to share the importance of friendship.
To celebrate and admire the work of students and teachers for their commitment to English language learning, award ceremonies were held in May and will be held in June too. Schools from across the globe that participated in the campaign will be formally invited to attend ceremonies in their towns designated to appreciate and applaud the students and teachers for their hard work and commitment to English language learning. Various rewards will be handed out to schools, teachers and students.
