NEAH Energy Appoints Mark Johnson General Counsel and Member of Advisory Board
NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Newco Energy Acquisition Holdings LLC (NEAH Energy), an energy-related asset and services acquisition firm, announced the appointment of Mark Johnson as General Counsel and member of Advisory Board. Mr. Johnson is an attorney with his own practice in Jupiter, Florida, where he specializes in complex business litigation.
Mr. Johnson began his legal career with the Kansas City, Missouri law firm of Gage & Tucker, where he worked in the firm's Corporate and Securities department. From 1982 to 1990, he was the Chief Prosecutor for the Florida Office of Statewide Prosecution where he prosecuted organized crime cases and was responsible for the extradition, prosecution and conviction of Colombian drug kingpin Jose Antonio "Pepe" Cabrera.
In 1990 Mr. Johnson joined the Federal Miami Organized Crime Strike Force and was an Assistant United States Attorney who prosecuted money laundering and stock fraud cases until retiring and beginning his own practice in 2005.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the Duke Law School and a member of the Florida Bar, and the bars for the federal Southern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
