WASHINGTON, Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new wave of cyberwarfare by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) accelerated significantly after the nationwide uprising that began in December 2017. The protesters' use of cyber technology proved to be the regime's Achilles' Heel because it could not, despite a huge show of force, stop the spread of the protests.
The U.S. Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI-US) has obtained new information on IRGC's organizational efforts to expand and accelerate its cyberwarfare at home and abroad.
The cybersecurity briefing will be held at the NCRI office in Washington, DC at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 15, 2018.
A new report, "Iran: Cyber Repression, How the IRGC Uses Cyberwarfare To Preserve the Theocracy," will be released as well.
