NCPA Announces Kathleen Jaeger as CEO

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) today announced the appointment of Kathleen Jaeger as Executive Vice President and CEO, heralding her as an ideal choice to build on the association's recent accomplishments and lead it to new heights as an advocate for, and supporter of, independent community pharmacies and the patients they serve.

NCPA President and Arlington, TX pharmacy owner Joseph H. Harmison, PD, made the announcement during his address to NCPA's 112th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition.

From 2002-2010, Jaeger served as President and CEO of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA). Jaeger is credited with transforming the association into a powerful voice for the generic industry, developing aggressive and effective public policy, advocacy and communications programs that resulted in numerous legislative and regulatory victories.

Prior to leading GPhA, Jaeger chaired the Food and Drug Practice for the McKenna and Cuneo law firm and, later, Kirkpatrick and Lockhart. She earned a Juris Doctor from Catholic University and a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island. Her appointment is effective Nov. 1, 2010.
