nClouds Hires Former IBM DevOps and Cloud Executive as New Chief Marketing Officer
Randy Newell joins nClouds to lead marketing and business development for award-winning DevOps and cloud solution provider
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- nClouds, a DevOps and cloud consulting partner recently named to CIOReview 20 Most Promising DevOps Solution Providers, has appointed Randy Newell as chief marketing officer. Newell was most recently the IBM executive leading DevOps, IT service management and cloud management marketing. At nClouds, Newell will be responsible for marketing strategy, brand, lead generation and expanding alliances with business partners, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft and others.

Newell is a DevOps advocate who helped define and promote the category working closely with innovators at large enterprises and startups, analysts, technology partners and systems integrators. He co-led the launch of IBM's DevOps initiative in 2013 and led worldwide DevOps marketing, driving organic revenue growth and successful integration of strategic acquisitions. Under Newell's leadership, his teams executed integrated digital, event, content and influencer campaigns that exceeded targets.
Newell previously led U.S. field marketing at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) technology practice. He was also the senior marketing and business development executive at VC-backed startups NeuVis, sold to Rational Software (subsequently acquired by IBM), and DataEase, acquired by Sapphire International.
