NCA & NDA All-Star National Championships Host More Than 1,200 teams and 50,000 Spectators

DALLAS, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- This year's NCA & NDA All-Star National Championship, a Varsity Spirit event, recently hosted more than 1,200 of the country's top cheerleading and dance teams. The elite competition took place Feb. 19 – 21 at Dallas' Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. More than 50,000 spectators attended to cheer on 25,000 cheerleaders and dancers from 35 U.S. states and eight countries around the world.

2016 All-Star National Championships hosted more than 1,200 teams and 25,000 participants in its 28th year.

These teams have spent many months training, and their hours of diligence and preparation were highlighted on the famous competition floor. Now in its 28^th year, the three-day event hosted more than 25,000 cheerleaders and dancers from over 1,200 teams and reached capacity just an hour after registration opened. Cheerleading teams are judged on athletic skills, such as stunting and tumbling, along with their overall performance, while the dance competition is judged on choreography, technique, execution and overall effect.
