These teams have spent many months training, and their hours of diligence and preparation were highlighted on the famous competition floor. Now in its 28th year, the three-day event hosted more than 25,000 cheerleaders and dancers from over 1,200 teams and reached capacity just an hour after registration opened. Cheerleading teams are judged on athletic skills, such as stunting and tumbling, along with their overall performance, while the dance competition is judged on choreography, technique, execution and overall effect.
"All-Star Nationals is an amazing event – seeing more than 25,000 elite dancers and cheerleaders come together from across the globe really illustrates the passion and continued growth of the cheerleading and dance world," said Justin Carrier, Vice President of NCA & NDA. "We are honored to host these dedicated young competitors and proud of all of the 2016 All-Star Nationals teams."
