ARLINGTON, Va., April 29, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Navy Mutual Aid Association ("Navy Mutual") is proud to announce the selection of Vice Admiral Stan Szemborski, US Navy, retired, to Chair the Association's Board of Directors. Admiral Szemborski, a Navy Mutual Board member for nearly a decade, was overwhelmingly approved by Navy Mutual's membership during an election completed in March. Previously serving as the Chair of the Association's Audit Committee, Admiral Szemborski assumed his duties as Chair on 23 April, replacing long-serving Board member Rear Admiral Mike Luecke, US Navy, retired.
A career submarine officer and financial management professional, Vice Admiral Szemborski's final assignment prior to his retirement from active duty was as the Principal Deputy Director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Vice Admiral Szemborski also served on the Joint Staff and in the Navy Department in key financial management positions. He commanded two nuclear-powered submarines and a submarine squadron during his time at sea. Following his retirement from the Navy, Vice Admiral Szemborski was Vice President for Corporate Strategy for the Northrop Grumman Corporation, and he continues to serve as Senior Lecturer at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California.
