Navy Federal to Host Navy SHRED-eral Day on October 19 at Locations Across the United States
Credit Union Offers Free Shredding Services to Local Communities, Aims to Shred Over 200 Tons
VIENNA, Va., Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Navy Federal Credit Union will welcome members and neighbors across the country to Navy SHRED-eral this Saturday, October 19. The 69 participating Navy Federal branches are located throughout the United States. For a full list of participating locations, please click here.
On the same scale as the Navy SHRED-eral Day event held in the spring, Navy Federal's fall shredding event may once again process a total of 200 tons of paper brought in by members of the credit union and the local community.
Event attendees at participating Navy Federal branches will have the opportunity to bring their personal documents to be shred on-site, free of charge. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., local time. Navy Federal is inviting participants to bring up to four 12" x 24" boxes of paper and documents, but the credit union advises that CDs and other hard substances will not be accepted.
