Outstanding Member Service to Marine Recruits
VIENNA, Va., Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Navy Federal Credit Union, Parris Island Branch, is honored to be selected as the Department of the Navy's "Distinguished Credit Union of the Year" at the Defense Credit Union Council's 48th Annual Conference held in New York City last month. The branch was chosen out of 45 credit union branches worldwide. This is the second time the Parris Island Branch has received this honor, having first received it in 2003. This award acknowledges the Parris Island team's outstanding member service and improving the quality of life for the Marines arriving at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island. This was accomplished through the branch's commitment to provide presentations, classes for over 12,000 attendees, and support for 25 local events/organizations.
