"There are not enough ways in the world to thank the men, women and families of those who serve in the armed forces," said Nancy DeDona, vice president, Membership. "For this week, we're putting a special spotlight on our military members to once again show our deep appreciation and respect."
DeDona stated that Military Appreciation Week will feature some outstanding offers on loans, certificates, credit cards, checking and member referral incentives. "Our Military Appreciation Week offers are valuable for members--they help our military families manage their finances and save."
In addition to the financial offerings, branch teams will be handing out over 25,000 thank you cards to members of the military, personally written by the credit union's 10,000 employees. Navy Federal has over 1.5 million members who are active duty, retired, in the Reserves or National Guard. Through these cards, employees showed their gratitude for the daily sacrifices service members make.
Navy Federal employees from around the world also supported the week by submitting a one-minute video on "Why You Love Serving the Military with Navy Federal." The top videos, selected by an internal committee, will be posted on Facebook from May 4-11 for members to view. For each of the top three winners, money will be donated to a military charity of their choice. Navy Federal encourages Facebook fans to visit its Facebook page to view the top videos.
