Mr. Eckerle will support SBG's clients through the development of leading edge technologies that advance the capabilities of our national defense forces.
Eckerle brings more than 25 years of acquisition and operational experience while serving as a naval commanding officer, acquisition program manager, and as the executive assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition).
Prior to joining SBG, Eckerle served five U.S. Navy ships including his tour as new construction commanding officer aboard USS STERETT (DDG 104). While ashore, Eckerle served in several NAVSEA program offices most notably as NAVSEA 21 PMS 400F, the program manager responsible for the maintenance and modernization of over 100 surface combatant ships. He also led the cruiser and destroyer mid-life modernization programs where he was directly responsible for the execution of a five-year program budget in excess of $10 billion.
