Navman Wireless Debuts 'Buy What You Need' Fleet Tracking Packages in U.S.
Industry-First Model Offers Three Bundles Tailored to Different Data Needs
GLENVIEW, Ill., Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Navman Wireless today announced an industry-first "buy what you need" fleet tracking subscription structure that enables business and construction fleet managers to choose from three software packages at different monthly price points depending on their specific data requirements. Available now in the U.S. market, these new software bundles for the company's flagship OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking platform offer features ranging from basic real-time vehicle location information to premium reporting and back-end system integration.
The new software options range from $19.95 to $34.95 per vehicle per month. Customers can select from:
- Essential, an entry-level package focusing on vehicle mapping for 24/7 visibility into the location of fleet assets. The package also includes a basic reporting suite, automated report delivery and passive geofences – all available on a historical basis for long-term fleet performance analysis and problem identification.
- Fleet+, including all Essential features plus real-time dashboards, geofences and alerts; a maintenance scheduling module based on mileage or engine hours collected by Navman Wireless GPS tracking devices; and an advanced real-time reporting suite including unauthorized use, geofence violations, fleet utilization, jobsite costs and interactive drilldown reports. Organizations that use integrated Navman Wireless M-Nav 760 navigation/messaging devices have access to additional functions and reports including time sheets, fleet message traffic and forms data entered from the vehicle.
- Complete, including all Fleet+ features plus connectivity to sensors for integrated reporting on activity ranging from door opening/closing and temperature changes to the use of equipment attachments such as buckets and hammers; access to Navman Wireless APIs for integration with a company's legacy systems; and premium reports covering areas such as sensor usage, vehicle work time versus idle time, and route compliance for monitoring driver adherence to daily routing schedules.
"Different fleets have different information needs, but until now no telematics provider has allowed customers to match the software package to their requirements," said Renaat Ver Eecke, Vice President and General Manager, Navman Wireless North America. "By providing the flexibility to begin with a basic package and upgrade to more advanced features at any time, our new product bundles will help drive greater use of telematics to help optimize fleet operations."
Navman Wireless' OnlineAVL2 platform can be used to monitor on-road and/or off-road fleets, and is the only fleet tracking solution that provides location, operations and performance data for both on-road vehicles and construction equipment from a single interface. Components include the back-end OnlineAVL2 application, delivered under the Software-as-a-Service model with no major in-house software installation or maintenance required; the Qube on-road and award-winning Qtanium off-road GPS tracking devices; and in-vehicle M-Nav 760 and MDT-860 mobile messaging/turn-by-turn GPS navigation devices.
Companies around the world use the platform to track vehicle location in real time as well as reduce fuel, labor and vehicle operating costs by pinpointing problems such as idling, inaccurate timesheets, unauthorized stops and personal vehicle usage. The system can also assist in averting theft, recovering stolen assets, improving dispatch efficiencies, optimizing preventive maintenance schedules, improving job costing and bidding for construction applications, and otherwise strengthening fleet management.
