Navistar and Lisle Park District Enter Into Unique Public-Private Partnership
Navistar to Present Shuttle Bus to Lisle Park District to Help Senior Programs
LISLE, Ill., March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Thursday, March 24, Jeff Bowen, vice president, Special Projects, Navistar, will present a large shuttle bus to Don Cook, Lisle Park District Board president. The vehicle the park district currently uses cannot meet the growing demands of their very successful senior trip program. Through this public-private partnership, Navistar sees this as a unique opportunity to provide a transportation solution to the park district while helping them meet the needs of their constituents. The bus that will be presented is an IC Bus HC Series Platinum, which seats 31 passengers and has air conditioning and an audio and video system.
Navistar is scheduled to move into its new Lisle campus later this year, and the bus presentation is another example of the company's commitment to being a good neighbor. The bus will also appear at Navistar-specific events.
