'NaviForum Shanghai 2010' Will Be Held in Shanghai During the World Expo
SHANGHAI, April 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are the most strategically important information infrastructure for a nation. The technology will profoundly affect the process of social civilization and change the concept of human life and time-space. For all developed countries, satellite-based navigation and timing systems are the inevitable trend of future development. As one of the biggest developing countries entering into the information era, China has been implementing the project of BeiDou (COMPASS) Navigation Satellite System, building its own satellite-based navigation and timing system for the near future.
To promote common and sustainable development of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and GNSS, "NaviForum Shanghai" has been incorporated into "International ITS Conference & Expo Shanghai", which is organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd.
With BeiDou as one of the most important themes, "NaviForum Shanghai 2010" and "ITS Expo Shanghai" will jointly present in September 1-2 this year at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The organizer will build an ideal new platform to make the exhibition and forum a wholly excellent event.
