'NaviForum Shanghai 2010' Will Be Held in Shanghai During the World Expo

SHANGHAI, April 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are the most strategically important information infrastructure for a nation. The technology will profoundly affect the process of social civilization and change the concept of human life and time-space. For all developed countries, satellite-based navigation and timing systems are the inevitable trend of future development. As one of the biggest developing countries entering into the information era, China has been implementing the project of BeiDou (COMPASS) Navigation Satellite System, building its own satellite-based navigation and timing system for the near future.
