NAVFAC Atlantic Awards ECC a 2019 Global Contingency Construction (GCC) Contract
BURLINGAME, Calif., April 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- NAVFAC Atlantic has awarded ECC a five-year, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Global Contingency Construction Multiple Award Contract with a joint total acquisition value of $975 million.
"ECC has been very successful in executing contingency construction operations for NAVFAC under our current GCC," stated Roland Moreau, PE, Vice President and Program Manager for ECC's current (2013) GCC contract. "And we look forward to continuing to serve them under the new 2019 contract."
ECC has executed nearly $290 million in contingency construction projects under the 2013 GCC contract with major projects at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point following Hurricane Florence. Other key contingency/hurricane recovery projects included task orders following Hurricane Maria in Aguada, Puerto Rico; Hurricane Matthew on Andros Island, Bahamas; and Hurricane Irma in Key West, Florida.
"We understand the critical nature of contingency construction, and the expediency required," continued Mr. Moreau. "Our clients trust us to seamlessly execute work so that they can focus on their critical missions at hand."
