ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Engineering Services Network, Inc., a leading provider of professional engineering and technology services for military and government customers, announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport Division (NUWC) to provide direct support to NUWC Newport detachment Field Engineering Office (FEO) Norfolk for the Module Test and Repair (MTR) Program.

The contract was recently awarded and will begin in February 2016. It will create approximately 17 new jobs at the company's field office in Chesapeake, VA, said ESN's Chief Operating Officer Douglas R. Lopez.
The NUWC contract includes a $2.6 million base year and four option years. If all option years are exercised, the contract will be worth $13.5 million, ESN officials said.

MTR is an active Department of Defense (DoD) Cost Avoidance Program that supports the testing and repair of circuit card assemblies (CCA) and electronic modules (EM) at the fleet organizational and intermediate levels of repair, both ashore and afloat.
Under the contract, ESN will provide the logistical research and technical development of technical data packages and the life-cycle support, repair and refurbishment of CCAs, EMs and MTR equipment.
