NEW YORK, May 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Nautica®, the leading global lifestyle brand for modern nautical style, is unveiling a boutique flagship store in New York City, where the brand's roots have been planted for over 30 years. The new retail location will open at 101 Prince Street in the heart of SoHo today.
The store opening embodies the brand's refreshed marketing and design strategy that was announced in February 2016. The new positioning: Reimagine Nautica - Inspired by the Sea, Designed in the City, celebrates the brand's home in New York City and its established nautical heritage.

The new store will deliver a reimagined nautical environment with references to a modern cityscape. The energy of the city and essence of the sea provided inspiration for the sophisticated, boutique-style store environment. Nautical references can be found throughout the 2,000 square foot space, with signature design features such as wooden beams made of natural oak wood to capture the essence of a boat and the architecture of the city.
An innovative in-store design element, "The Style Bar", offers a selection of the season's key pieces in a curated presentation where consumers can explore new styles and fulfill one's curiosity. Digital tablets will be available and equipped with editorial look books so consumers can browse head-to-toe styled looks for inspiration. A focus on enhanced consumer services will also be implemented, including custom tailoring and same day home delivery in Manhattan for all online and in-store purchases. Additionally, Nautica plans to partner with local SoHo businesses in various capacities to show support for the community and its neighbors and brands.
The store will offer items from the Nautica Men's and Women's Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, where consumers will see an extended range of nautically inspired looks and styles that can be worn day-to-night. Additionally, the brand will offer a selection of curated products from accessories brand Caputo & Co. as well as Sea Bags; a company that transforms boat sails into nautically inspired totes and accessories. All Nautica items will be exclusive to the 101 Prince Street location, Nautica.com and Nautica stores internationally.
