WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Natural Products Association, the nation's oldest and largest trade association representing retailers and suppliers of natural products, is inviting industry members and others to its annual public policy event, Natural Products Day, in Washington, D.C. on March 23.
The purpose of the event is to educate members of Congress and their staffs about the important role natural products play in a healthy America. Among the issues to be addressed so far are access to dietary supplements and providing more nutritious lunches for school children.
This all-day event begins early with a new seminar to give first-time advocates an introduction to the issues and the process. During breakfast and the "Legislative Workshop," attendees will hear a thorough explanation of industry positions and how to effectively present them.
Buses from the host hotel will take attendees directly to the Capitol for their afternoon appointments, which are prearranged by the association. The day is capped-off with a gala reception honoring the industry's congressional champions.
To register for Natural Products Day 2010, go to the association's Web site at www.NPAInfo.org.
