Native New Yorker Hits Million 'Stripper' Milestone
Award-winning Buffalo Wings Restaurant Sells More than 1.3 Million Boneless, Skinless 'Strippers' in Less than a Year
GILBERT, Ariz., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Sports-themed family restaurant franchise Native New Yorker announced today that it has sold more than 1 million of its tender and juicy Native Style Strippers in just the first nine months of this year. Billed as a healthier alternative to traditional skin-on, deep-fried New York-style Buffalo chicken wings, Native Style Strippers are boneless and skinless chicken tenders dipped in the sauce of your choice and sold by the half- or full-pound.
From January 1 to September 30, Native New Yorker served 1,332,250 strippers—the equivalent of more than 127,000 pounds—at its 20-plus locations in and around the greater Phoenix area. The restaurant chain, credited with introducing Arizonans to the New York-style Buffalo chicken wings, has been named the home of the best wings in Phoenix since 1978.
"As many of our customers aim to adopt a healthier lifestyle, our Strippers allow them to enjoy the Native New Yorker taste they love, with a bit less fat than our regular wings and tenders," said Sherri Lind, vice president of marketing with Native New Yorker. "Available in any of our 14 signature sauces, Strippers are also a favorite among those who'd prefer to enjoy their wings with a knife and a fork."
In addition to its 21 dine-in locations throughout the valley, the company recently announced that its award-winning wings and potato chips will also be available at a walk-up concessionary window at the new Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, set top open in Spring 2011.
