WASHINGTON, Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Last week, the Native American Contractors Association launched State and Local Procurements as the newest feature in its successful NACA Business Development Portal.
In early 2014, the NACA team along with its technical partner, BidSpeed, realized a need for state and local procurement opportunities in the NACA BD Portal, thus expanding the reach for NACA Members and growing the earning potential for those small businesses currently utilizing the NACA BD Portal for federal and tribal procurements.
"The introduction of state and local procurements in the NACA BD Portal is a revolution in the contracting world," said NACA Executive Director Kevin Allis. "We are expanding upon a knowledge base and offering more opportunities to our membership, and those small businesses looking to diversify their businesses and grow profit margins in challenging markets."
The first of its kind in Indian Country, the NACA BD Portal rivals some of the biggest business development software tools in federal contracting. Much like other web-based business development tools, the NACA BD Portal is directly integrated with FBO, DIBBS, FPDS-NG, and SBIR/STTR data. However, its cost is only a fraction of the price, at $1500 per year for three seats.
With several grants and programs based around the NACA BD Portal, NACA continues to lead the way by providing solutions to the federal procurement budget decline, among many other challenges companies face in today's current economic climate.
Although a common misnomer, the NACA BD Portal serves more than just Native enterprises. All businesses looking to get involved with the contracting industry are highly encouraged to become NACA BD Portal members. Current NACA BD Portal members include, but are not limited to, women-owned small businesses, African American-owned small businesses, Hispanic-owned small businesses, and large businesses.
The NACA BD Portal can be customized to meet the specific needs of the subscriber. The Portal can be used as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, conduct market research, identify and bid on expiring contracts, find teaming partners, and manage opportunities.
