Nation's Leading Sperm Bank Opens New Facility
PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct.15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- California Cryobank (CCB), the nation's leading donor sperm bank, has relocated its Palo Alto branch to a newly remodeled, 4500 square foot facility. With easy access to the 101 freeway and ample parking, the newest member of the CCB family is an extremely welcome addition.
"We had outgrown our old Palo Alto laboratory and offices," Dr. Charles Sims, co-founder, explains. "The new space is bigger, beautiful, much more convenient, and allows us to continue providing outstanding donor semen and private tissue storage services to the Bay Area community."
The new laboratory and office represent California Cryobank's third new facility to open in recent years (including Los Angeles and NY). "Having the space and storage capacity to maintain vials on site allows our local clients the option to save significant money by picking up their specimens versus using FedEx to ship them," says CCB President, Pamela Richardson. "It also creates a much more convenient setting for our donors, and a more productive work environment for our staff."
California Cryobank regularly ships all over the United States and provides local services in Los Angeles, CA, Los Altos/Palo Alto, CA, and Cambridge, MA.
In order to maintain the current number of over 400 donors, the recruiting process never stops. Due to stringent donor eligibility requirements and limits on the number of allowed donations, less than 1% of all applicants actually become fully qualified California Cryobank donors.
"Finding as wide a variety of highly-qualified donors as possible is extremely important," says Sims. "We want our clients to be able to find their ideal donor and to do that, they need a wide variety of donors from which to choose."
