Cantore to Celebrate Blue Skies Rather than Stormy Skies

DESTIN, FL, June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Nationally recognized meteorologist Jim Cantore will be at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort this Tuesday, July 3 to mark the opening of LeCiel, the resort's new boutique hotel experience.

Cantore will speak at a special breakfast cosponsored by Sandestin Real Estate and hosted by the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday at 8 a.m. at LeCiel Patio & Pool Deck.

Known for his expert commentary on storms, Cantore will help celebrate this opening and the positive tourism season while sharing some of his meteorological wisdom with the group. As an avid guest of the resort, Cantore is very familiar with the Destin area.

Cantore has been with The Weather Channel (TWC) for more than 25 years. Though he is best known for his live field coverage of major weather events his contributions span well beyond severe weather field reporting. He has covered from events such as the Space Shuttle Discovery launch, the Olympics Games, NFL games and more. Aside from live reporting and anchoring for TWC, Cantore also serves as the narrator on the TWC series Storm Stories and is often seen on NBC-TV on Today and as an expert commentator on news broadcasts.

On Tuesday morning, Sandestin along with Sandestin Real Estate, the Destin Area Chamber and breakfast attendees will cut the official opening ribbon for LeCiel.
