Nationalize the Election: Brand Democrats as "radical, dangerous, mean-spirited, and violence-prone"
MANASSAS, Va., Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- FedUp PAC, a political action committee founded and chaired by conservative activist and political direct marketing pioneer Richard A. Viguerie, released a call to action:
"For many years I've told conservatives and the GOP establishment that Republicans never win a big election unless they nationalize it—that means contrasting sharply with Democrats and giving voters 'a tune they can whistle' on big conservative themes.
"Until the Kavanaugh confirmation battle, establishment Republicans were running another content-free campaign that would have guaranteed another midterm wipeout like 2006. However, Democrats, including many national leaders, have now handed the GOP the opportunity to nationalize the election on the mob violence, incivility, and downright craziness that was on national display during the Kavanaugh confirmation.
"FedUpPAC.org, which I chair, leads the way in educating conservatives on how to nationalize this election, and my latest memo to conservative leaders (linked below) outlines how Democrats have become a radical, dangerous, mean-spirited, and violence-prone political party.
"The antics of the left during the Kavanaugh hearings are merely a taste of what is to come if conservatives don't act.
"Establishment Republicans seldom lead on issues, but the Kavanaugh hearings seem to have awakened them. However, if they expect to win in November, as always, the primary leadership must come from conservatives.
"Perhaps President Trump summarized this message best when he said, 'You don't hand matches to an arsonist, and you don't give power to an angry left-wing mob. Democrats have become too extreme and too dangerous to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law - not the rule of the mob. Vote Republican!'
"If conservatives and Republicans shout that message from every rooftop between now and Election Day they will have an historic midterm victory."
