National Write Your Congressman Donates Educational Materials for Students to Orange Field of Valor

DALLAS, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- National Write Your Congressman (NWYC), an organization that gives small businesses a voice in American government, is donating 1,600 educational books about American government to fifth through eighth grade students visiting the 2016 Orange Field of Valor.

"We are excited to be able to provide high-quality educational materials from NWYC to students visiting the 2016 Orange Field of Valor," said Gary Remland, President of the Community Foundation of Orange, president and owner of Remland Insurance and NWYC member. "Field of Valor gives the community the opportunity to not only honor all veterans and active duty military personnel for their service, but to educate the next generation of voters."

This Orange Field of Valor is hosting student groups to educate them on the importance of active engagement with their government. Students will receive America's Legacy, a 36-page book produced by Student Governmental Affairs Program (SGAP), a nonprofit organization established by NWYC that provides instructional materials to approximately 200,000 students across the U.S. each year. Materials are factual, nonpartisan, and non-political.
