National, State and Local Community Leaders to Discuss the Scope and Impact of Insurance Fraud on Kentucky Consumers and Potential Solutions
***MEDIA ADVISORY***
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Insurance Institute of Kentucky (IIK) invite you to attend an Insurance Fraud Summit. Kentucky is not immune from the kinds of insurance scams found in other major population centers. Law enforcement pressure has caused some scam artists to relocate away from those "urban pressure cookers" into regions that they mistakenly believe have a more "relaxed" enforcement environment. At the Summit you will hear from law enforcement officials, prosecutors, regulators and private insurers as they discuss their innovative and coordinated efforts to detect, deter and defeat these criminals and prove that Kentucky is no place for them to set up shop.
WHO: Dignitaries in attendance will include:
- Kentucky State Representative Steve Riggs
- Kentucky Department of Insurance Commissioner Sharon Clark
- Honorable Greg Fischer, Mayor, City of Louisville
- Joe Wehrle, President and CEO, NICB
- Charlie Worsham, Director of Field Operations, NICB Midwest Region
WHEN: Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 8:30a.m. – 3:00p.m.
WHERE: Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Expo Ctr
830 Phillips Lane,
Louisville, Kentucky 40209
