IRVING, Texas, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Society of Hispanic MBAs ("NSHMBA") -Each year seeks nominations for those truly outstanding individuals, businesses, non-profits, educational institutions, and companies whose endeavors coincide with the NSHMBA mission and directly further the advancement and recognition of Hispanics and the community.
These winners are presented with the Brillante Award for Excellence, the most prestigious honor given by NSHMBA, and will be presented to the winning recipients during the organization's Annual Conference & Career Expo, being held in Philadelphia, PA from September 24-27.
Nominations are now open and will close July 15, 2014. Award categories include:
- Brillante Award for Government/Corporate Excellence
- Brillante Award for Education Excellence
- Brillante Award for Community Service Excellence
- Brillante Award for Entrepreneur Excellence
In addition, NSHMBA announced the expansion of the Ignite Undergraduate Program. Applications are now being accepted for the 2-day career development program designed to build the career skills for undergraduate students. The program will take place at the NSHMBA Annual Conference and Career Expo in Philadelphia.
The Ignite Program is specially designed for Hispanic undergraduate students in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, and Business fields, who are interested in pursuing an MBA or a graduate degree in STEM. NSHMBA CEO, Manny Gonzalez says: "We are delighted to offer students with the opportunity to discover the benefits of pursing graduate school, while providing an inside look into the rigors of a graduate program."
NSHMBA invites students eligible to apply as soon as possible, as complimentary 2-nights hotel accommodations will be offered to the first 200 students to register.
