National Semiconductor to Demonstrate PMBus System Power Management and PCI Express Repeater ICs at Intel Developer Forum
What: Intel Developer Forum
Where: Moscone Center West, San Francisco, Calif.
When: September 13-15, 2011
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- National Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: NSM) will showcase its PMBus system power management and PCI Express® Gen-1/2/3 signal conditioning repeater integrated circuits (ICs) at the Intel Developer Forum at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco from Sept. 13 - 15, 2011.
Attendees can see demonstrations based on National's LM25066 system power management and protection IC with PMBus, and DS80PCI800 PCIe Gen-1/2/3 repeater. The LM25066 is used with Intel's Intelligent Power Node Manager software to accurately measure power consumption and implement power capping in data center servers, while the DS80PCI800 PCIe repeater allows Intel's next-generation server platforms to meet the I/O bandwidth demands of today's applications.

National Demonstrates PMBus System Protection and Management Solution for Data Center Power Capping
National will demonstrate its LM25066 hot swap controller with integrated PMBus power measurement support. The LM25066 continuously monitors and limits both system current and power while accurately measuring power consumption and fault conditions. It can be used with Intel's Intelligent Power Node Manager software to measure and control individual blade server subsystems, and enables data center managers to establish power capping policies for limiting power consumption at both the system and subsystem level.
