National Safety Council Names Exelon Nuclear as Recipient of 2010 Green Cross for Safety Medal

ITASCA, Ill., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Safety Council announced that Exelon Nuclear will receive its 2010 Green Cross for Safety Medal, NSC's annual recognition of an organization that demonstrates a steadfast commitment to improving safety and health in the workplace, its community and through safety leadership demonstrated by all levels of the organization.

Exelon Nuclear, a business unit of Exelon Corporation, operates the largest nuclear fleet in the nation and the third largest fleet in the world. Headquartered in Warrenville, IL, Exelon Nuclear operates 10 stations with 17 reactors and represents an estimated 20 percent of the U.S. nuclear industry's power capacity.
