National Safety Council Announces 2014 CEOs Who 'Get It'
Leaders recognized for dedication to safety excellence
ITASCA, Ill., Jan. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Safety Council has announced the 2014 CEOs Who "Get It," its annual recognition of leaders who demonstrate world-class safety. Each of these leaders understands the value of a safe workplace, and ensures employees at all levels keep safety in the forefront.

The Council studies successful organizations, such as those of the CEOs Who "Get It," and has found four common elements: committed leadership and employee engagement, sound safety procedures, continuous risk reduction, and measuring and improving performance. These four factors form the basis of the Council's Journey to Safety Excellence approach—a constant quest to drive workplace injuries and deaths to zero.
