SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the 2015 National Safety Council Congress & Expo approaching, Journey to Safety Excellence® campaign sponsor, BROWZ, has extended congratulations to the National Safety Council (NSC) on the successful launch of this initiative. In its inaugural year, the Journey to Safety Excellence campaign has attracted over 2,800 registrants covering nearly 1,000,000 workers in the U.S. and international markets.
The Journey to Safety Excellence was launched during the 2014 Congress & Expo by NSC President and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman. During the launch, contractor management leader, BROWZ, committed to multi-year financial and promotional sponsorship.
BROWZ Safety Director and NSC Delegate Pat Cunningham said, "We would like to express our heartfelt congratulations to Deborah and the National Safety Council. We were confident that this initiative would be a success and immediately wanted to participate. The Council provides much needed services, raising the bar on safety and educating the workplace." Cunningham continues, "The Journey to Safety Excellence provides free assessment tools, along with information and networking for organizations of all sizes. As a company, we couldn't be more pleased to partner with NSC on this great initiative."
As a part of their commitment to the program, BROWZ has invited network members to join the Journey and take advantage of the free tools offered by the council, including:
- NSC Safety System Assessment
- NSC Employee Safety Perception Survey
- NSC Incident Rate Calculator
When asked about the relationship, Cunningham indicated that the Journey is complementary to the BROWZ solution. "BROWZ assists organizations in assessing risk related to the contractors, suppliers, and vendors that they hire. We do this initially through a contractor prequalification process. A core foundation of our solution includes historical safety performance evaluations, safety program audits, and safety management system audits. The tools provided by the Council complement what we are doing for our client's supply chain companies. For example, the NSC Employee Safety Perception Survey lets employers assess their workers' view of the company safety culture and benchmarks their responses against millions of others. That's where safety begins - with values and trust within an organization."
