TOPIC: " WHY I AM RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES "
DATE: Friday, Oct. 12
TIME: 2 p.m.

Former Virginia Congressman Virgil Goode is the Constitution Party candidate for president, and political analysts say his candidacy could swing the battleground state of Virginia in a close contest there between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
Goode's running mate is Jim Clymer of Pennsylvania, who ran for the U.S. Senate on the Constitution Party ticket in 2004 and who served as national chairman of the Constitution Party National Committee for more than a decade.
Goode is on the ballot in more than half the states and is on the write-in ballot in another 10 to 15 states. Goode says he believes in balancing the budget sooner than in 10 years. He says there is a need to protect jobs for U.S. citizens by stopping so many foreign green card holders from entering the United States. He has been an advocate for term limits for the U.S. House and Senate. He has refused federal matching funds and is not accepting political action committee donations -- only individual donations of $200 or less.
