WASHINGTON, Feb. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- One year after adopting the Euro as its official currency, Latvia is assuming the presidency of the 28-member European Union. Latvia's Ambassador to the U.S., H.E. Andris Razans, will discuss Latvia's upcoming priorities – as well as an increasingly anti-Russian stance that reportedly is infuriating the Kremlin – at a National Press Club Newsmakers news conference on Thursday, February 5 at noon.
Ambassador Razans recently criticized Russia's annexation of Crimea and its occupation of Ukrainian territory as "blunt violations of international law. Facts are facts. This is a challenge to the post-Cold War order in Europe."
This Newsmakers news conference is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at noon in the National Press Club's Lisagor Room, on the 13th floor of the National Press Building at 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C.
Like all NPC Newsmakers events, this news conference is open to credentialed journalists and NPC members, free of charge. No advance registration is required.
