National Parking Association Names Christine Banning, MA, CAE, President
WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Parking Association (NPA) has named Christine Banning, MA, CAE, president, effective Oct. 4. As president of NPA, Banning will manage the day-to-day operations and oversee strategic planning for the international organization, which provides advocacy, networking, and educational resources for its members. Banning replaces John L. Fiegel, CAE, who was named interim president in January.

Banning joins NPA from the SCORE Association, where she most recently served as vice president of Marketing and Communications. She brings 15 years of senior management experience encompassing strategic planning, member outreach and marketing in a membership association. Earlier, she served as the vice president of corporate relations and director of public information for SCORE, a nonprofit association with 12,400 members and more than 350,000 public clients across 364 offices nationwide.

Banning earned an undergraduate degree from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, and a master's degree from The American University, Washington, D.C. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Dress for Success, Washington, D.C., where she chairs the nominating committee.
She is a member of the corporate advisory council, consumer segments, for American Airlines, Dallas, Texas. She is a charter member of the American Airlines advisory council on women's business segment strategy. She also serves on the National Advisory Council for the Women's Leadership Exchange, New York, N.Y., and the Center for the Arts Bonita Springs Corporate Advisory Council, Bonita Springs, Fla. She is an honorary member of the New York City Chapter of SCORE and a member of the International Women's Forum, Public Relations Society of America and International Association of Business Communicators, where she holds the ABC accreditation.
