Gonzales to its Board of Directors. The appointments were made by National Park Foundation Board Chair and Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell. Gonzales will join the NPF Board immediately, providing valuable direction and expertise to the Foundation as it executes its mission to protect, preserve and enrich America's national parks and programs through private support, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts.

Susan Gonzales currently serves as Director of Community Engagement globally for Facebook where she is responsible for defining the company's community outreach strategy and programs including creating and managing advocacy relationship development and management. Before joining Facebook, she spent nine years with Comcast Corporation where she served as Vice President of the Comcast Foundation and Corporate Senior Director. From 2003 to 2011. Gonzales worked in public affairs and corporate communications roles in high technology, government and consumer agencies and companies. Gonzales has a long history of volunteer leadership including serving as Vice Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Smithsonian National American Latino Museum Commission and is an outdoor enthusiast.
