National Nuclear Laboratory Examines New Approach to Aid Nuclear Security
NNL and ARES Security Host Webinar to Discuss Modeling and Simulation
BURLINGAME, Calif., July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The United Kingdom's National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) and ARES Security Corporation will explore a new method to aid the security of nuclear facilities in a webinar titled, "Utilizing Modeling and Simulation to Optimize Nuclear Security System Design". The webinar scheduled for July 23, 2013 will discuss NNL's independent evaluation of the quantitative 3D modeling and simulation software solution, AVERT.
NNL, acting as an early adopter for the UK nuclear industry, piloted the AVERT software on a complex nuclear facility to assess security performance. In the hour long webcast, representatives of NNL's security and technical teams will explain how the solution was implemented and the benefits they achieved. Jeremy Davison, Head of Security for the National Nuclear Laboratory explains, "AVERT is a step change in the approach to security decision making, and played a valuable role in assessing options for enhancing security at one of NNL's most important facilities."
Join us to learn how modeling and simulation provides an opportunity to produce more resilient security assessments and improved demonstration of active threats and mitigation.
