National Non-Profit Organization Patient Services Inc. (PSI) Honors Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. with Award at Congressional Reception

MIDLOTHIAN, Va., May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Patient Services, Inc. (PSI), the nation's leading patient assistance organization, held a congressional reception in Washington, DC on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 creating awareness for patients with expensive, chronic conditions.  Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. was honored at the reception with the PSI Public Policy Visionary Award for his tireless efforts to improve the lives of PSI patients by encouraging innovative policy solutions to the challenges they face.

PSI is a non-profit patient assistance organization, currently assisting over 17,000 patients across the country afford their health insurance premiums; pharmacy and treatment co-insurance/co-pays and expenses associated with Medicare Part D. These patients have rare, chronic conditions and often have difficulty obtaining access to needed therapies and treatments. On a daily basis, PSI Board of Directors and staff works to develop opportunities for patients to obtain needed treatments without becoming financially bankrupt.
