WYNNEWOOD, Pa., Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Town Watch (NATW), in partnership with Lower Merion Community Watch, will host a "National Night Out" (NNO) Festival in the Ruby's lot in Suburban Square in Ardmore tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. The lot is located at the intersection of Montgomery and Anderson Avenues in Ardmore.

National Night Out 2011 will feature live music, food, rides, carousel, carnival games, police, fire and EMS exhibits, Phillie Phanatic, funnel cakes, roving entertainment and home safety information.
The event is in conjunction with tonight's "28th Annual National Night Out" which will involve over 15,000 communities across the country from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.
National Night Out is the brainchild of Matt Peskin of Wynnewood who created the event for the NATW back in 1984. The event is designed to: (1) Heighten crime prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and; (4) Send a message to criminals that neighborhood are organized and fighting back.
Admission is free. The cost of a food ticket is $4.00 per person. Parking will be available throughout the Suburban Square area. The National Night Out website is www.nationalnightout.org.
