BEAVER, Penn., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Network of Digital Schools (NNDS) and SlateXP, in partnership with UMPS CARE Charities, are proud to announce that the 5th Annual UMPS CARE Charities Golf Classic has raised over $75,000 for children in need.
NNDS and SlateXP are proud to support the ongoing work of UMPS CARE Charities, the official charity of Major League Baseball umpires. "The National Network of Digital Schools and SlateXP are valued partners of UMPS CARE Charities, and we couldn't do this without their support," said Jim Reynolds, a Major League umpire for the past ten seasons and a member of the Board of Directors of UMPS CARE Charities. "Especially in this down economy, the generosity of supporters like NNDS and SlateXP is much needed and appreciated."
Relying solely on donated funds from organizations like NNDS and SlateXP to operate, UMPS CARE Charities helps children coping with cancer and other serious illness, as well as children from single parent households or those awaiting adoption, by providing them with a unique way to participate in the world of Major League baseball.
