NLC Initiative to Provide Leadership Development, Foster Learning and Promote Innovation
SEATTLE, Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National League of Cities (NLC) today announced NLC University, a new collaborative education and training initiative designed to provide municipal leaders with skills to better govern, serve and advocate for their communities. NLC University will serve as a single point of entry for the diverse learning opportunities offered by NLC in online and in-person educational event formats.

NLC University builds on NLC's strong history of offering training and educational programs to local officials through its Leadership Training Institute (LTI). The university will also leverage the expertise of state municipal leagues, corporate and nonprofit partners and academic institutions to provide knowledge and resources to participants.
