WHAT: The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund will formally mark groundbreaking for the National Law Enforcement Museum with a public ceremony. Celebrating an important new chapter in the history of law enforcement, the groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the future site of the mostly underground museum.

Projected to open in 2013, the National Law Enforcement Museum will be an architecturally inspiring, 55,000-square-foot museum located adjacent to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC's Judiciary Square. The Museum will tell the story of American law enforcement through high-tech, interactive exhibits, collections, research and education.
